Position Description - Spa Massage and Body Therapist The SpeakEasy Spa, located in the heart of the Crossroads District of downtown Kansas City, offers a tranquil personal sanctuary just steps from Union Station, Crown Center, and the Power & Light District. Our woman-owned spa has been a trusted destination for over 20 years, providing highly trained therapists who deliver expert, personalized relaxation and therapeutic care for everyone who steps through the door. For each service, our guest's comfort, privacy, & security remain top of mind. SpeakEasy Spa Massage and Body Therapists perform an array of treatments designed to address the primary wellness needs of our clients. Professional flexibility and broad-based skills mean you will build your book more quickly. Our therapists enjoy a high rate of return guests. Current shifts available include weekends. All massage and body treatment therapies listed on our service menu - training will be provided as needed. Evaluates clients' specific needs and expectations to determine the best appropriate services, products and personal attention required to achieve satisfaction Interacts cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless customer experience Presents a warm and gracious persona for customers and co-workers Monitors work schedule throughout the day to stay informed on changes, and performs treatments in the allotted amount of time, remaining on schedule Maintains educational excellence and participates in all staff, team and educational meetings Presents an exemplary professional standard in dress, personal grooming, language, and healthy lifestyle Practices the highest standard of sanitation and tidiness in the spa Actively builds a repeat clientele, and meets service and retail sales performance requirements Uses appropriate quantities of products and laundry in accordance with company protocols Participates in inventory management, receiving, ticketing and stocking merchandise as needed Communicates to management any and all occurrences involving clients or co-workers that may require attention Is responsible for cleanliness of countertops and products within the cabin, stocking the room with linens and supplies as needed Performs prepwork and cleans and restocks work areas as required A valid massage license for the state of Missouri, and spa or practical body therapy experience Special technical skills such as deep tissue, reflexology, sports massage and maternity massage are highly valued Retail sales and customer service experience desired
