Optometric Technician with Skin Care Experience

We are looking for someone with a friendly personality and readiness to learn! We are seeking a skilled and personable Optometric Technician with a background or strong interest in skincare and aesthetics. This dual-role position combines clinical optometric support with assisting in skincare treatments and patient education. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and passionate about both eye health and skin wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary tests on patients and document medical history
• Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Provide patient care and support during exams and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records through an online system
• Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information when needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:

• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to provide friendly, compassionate, and professional service
• Experience in customer service is a plus
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Support aesthetic services such as IPL, RF, or other treatments
• Background in skincare, aesthetics, or dermatology strongly preferred
