We're a tight-knit team that takes pride in our craft, our client relationships, and the culture we've built in our studio. Position Overview We're looking for a Studio Lead to take ownership of our day-to-day studio operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run the floor, keep the team accountable to our standards, execute our marketing calendar consistently, and make smart real-time calls on staffing and inventory, all while protecting the client experience that keeps people coming back. This role reports directly to ownership, who will continue to set overall business strategy, financial goals, and team KPIs. You'll be responsible for making sure the plan gets executed every single day. This role can be structured one of two ways , depending on your background: as a leadership-focused position, or as a dual role combining hands-on esthetician services with team leadership. We'll determine the right fit together during the interview process. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Accountability Ensure estheticians consistently execute service and client-experience standards Conduct weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with each team member to review progress against goals set by ownership Monitor weekly KPIs and coach the team toward sales, rebooking, and retail goals Provide day-to-day coaching, support, and constructive feedback Address team conflicts and performance issues directly and professionally Know when to make the call yourself and when to escalate to ownership Client Experience Resolve day-to-day client concerns, billing questions, and service issues Protect the studio's reputation and client trust in every interaction Marketing & Social Media Execution Execute our franchise-provided content calendar on schedule Prepare and upload posts using provided graphics, captions, and promotions Track basic engagement and flag opportunities or issues Support local promotions and initiatives that drive appointments and rebooking Staffing & Labor Management Monitor appointment volume against staffing levels day to day Make real-time labor decisions (e.g., sending someone home early on a slow day) Identify staffing gaps when we're hiring and help place new team members into the schedule Understand labor as a controllable cost and manage it accordingly Inventory Order supplies roughly weekly or biweekly Monitor stock levels and avoid overordering Team Leadership Expectations You'll work closely with a talented, close-knit esthetician team and the right person for this role knows how to be approachable and authoritative at the same time. We're looking for someone who: Builds credibility and respect without needing to be everyone's friend Gives direct, constructive feedback comfortably, even when it's an uncomfortable conversation Makes decisions based on what's right for the studio and the team as a whole not what's most popular in the moment Stays composed and objective when personalities or conflicts flare up
Qualifications Required:
1+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or lead role :retail, hospitality, sales, customer service, or beauty/wellness backgrounds all welcome Comfortable holding people accountable and having direct conversations Strong organizational skills and sound judgment under pressure Basic comfort with scheduling software and social media platforms Must be available to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as a standing, fixed part of your weekly schedule
Preferred:
Prior experience in a beauty, spa, salon, or wellness environment Experience managing to KPIs or sales targets Familiarity with social media scheduling tools Active Texas Esthetician License — required only if pursuing the dual-role path below; not required for the leadership-only path Compensation & Schedule This role can be structured either way, based on your license, experience, and preference:
Leadership-Focused Path:
$15-$20/hour, plus a monthly performance bonus tied to team sales, rebooking, and retail attainment. No service delivery required. Esthetician + Lead Path (Dual Role): $11/hour guaranteed base for scheduled service hours, plus tips and commission on top (variable, based on your bookings not guaranteed), and $20/hour for hours dedicated specifically to team coaching, marketing execution, and administrative duties tracked separately from your bookable service hours. Monthly performance bonus applies to this path as well. Full-time, approximately 35-40 hours/week, including one weekend day as a standing, fixed part of your schedule.
