Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Arranger/Counselor/Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process, ensuring that each service is conducted with dignity and respect. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously while providing bereavement support to grieving families. Duties Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including event planning and logistics. Provide guidance and support to families in making arrangements to honor their loved ones, including selecting caskets, urns, and other memorial items. Conduct funeral services, ensuring that all details are executed according to the family's wishes. Assist with heavy lifting and transportation of deceased individuals. Be on-call evenings and weekends for answering phones and transportation of deceased. Maintain accurate records of all services provided and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Offer bereavement support to families before, during, and after the funeral service. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless experience for families. Qualifications Able to obtain proper Licensing/certification as required by state regulations if not already obtained. Experience in funeral directing or a related field is preferred. Strong event planning skills with an eye for detail. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate support to families Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Valid CA drivers license. Must be insurable through our auto insurance.
