Job Description

Job Summary The Care Team Specialist supports funeral directors in providing compassionate and professional services to families during times of loss. This role involves assisting with funeral arrangements, services, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and respectful care. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Transport decedents respectfully to funeral home, service, or burial site.
  • Drive funeral vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
  • Coordinate logistics with cemetery staff, clergy, and service providers.
  • Set up and break down funeral services, including flowers, chairs, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of funeral home facilities and vehicles.
  • Greet and support grieving families and guests during services.
  • Guide guests with parking and directions to service areas.
  • Assist with documentation, permits, and death certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Support funeral directors with personalized service requests and general tasks. Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High level of empathy and professionalism in grief-sensitive situations.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and composure under pressure.
  • Basic computer and office equipment proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in funeral services or customer service preferred.
  • Training in grief support or mortuary science is a plus.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
