We are seeking a caring and organized Funeral and Cemetery Assistant to join our team. Candidate will need to perform a variety of funeral and cemetery service-related tasks before, during and after funeral/memorial services, viewing/visitation services, committal services and other related but unspecified services. Funeral and Cemetery assistants are under the immediate and direct supervision of the funeral director in charge and/or the funeral home Location Manager and General Manager. Responsibilities Assist with funeral preparations, including setup, transportation, and logistical coordination to ensure seamless ceremonies. Support cemetery operations such as grounds maintenance, heavy lifting, safe lifting practices, and record management to uphold site standards. Drive funeral vehicles and equipment safely for transportation of remains or family members as needed. Coordinate funeral and mortuary services by working closely with families, funeral directors, and vendors to deliver personalized experiences. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service with strong organizational skills. Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for operating funeral vehicles and equipment. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with families, colleagues, and vendors during sensitive situations. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
