Tulsa / Glenpool-Bixby and surrounding communities About the Position Schaudt Funeral Service is seeking a dependable, professional, and compassionate Overnight Transfer Team Member to join our Care Team. This position is responsible for responding when a death occurs after normal business hours and respectfully transferring deceased individuals from hospitals, nursing facilities, hospice locations, residences, and other locations into our care. This is much more than a transportation position. You are often the first representative of Schaudt Funeral Service that a grieving family meets . How you communicate, present yourself, and care for their loved one establishes the family's first impression of our entire organization. We are looking for someone who understands the responsibility that comes with that. Primary Responsibilities Respond promptly to after-hours death calls and transfer requests. Travel to hospitals, nursing facilities, hospice facilities, residences, medical examiner offices, and other locations. Professionally and respectfully transfer deceased individuals into our care. Treat every deceased individual with dignity and respect at all times. Communicate compassionately and professionally with grieving families. Work professionally with nurses, hospice personnel, law enforcement, medical examiner staff, and other healthcare professionals. Verify the identity of the deceased and follow all chain-of-custody procedures. Complete required documentation accurately and completely. Obtain necessary signatures and information when required. Properly secure and transport the deceased. Follow all Schaudt Funeral Service identification, transfer, refrigeration, and chain-of-custody procedures. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transfer vehicles and equipment. Properly clean and sanitize equipment after transfers. Immediately communicate unusual circumstances, concerns, or discrepancies to management. Assist with facility and Care Team responsibilities as assigned. Maintain confidentiality regarding the families and individuals we serve. What We Expect Our expectations are simple but non-negotiable: Professionalism. Identification, documentation, personal belongings, and chain of custody must be handled correctly every time. Communication. If there is a problem, delay, question, or unusual circumstance, communicate it immediately. Appearance. Professional grooming and appropriate funeral-service attire are required. You must present yourself in a manner appropriate for entering a family's home or representing Schaudt Funeral Service in the community. Respect for the Deceased. Every person in our care will be treated as though their family were standing beside us. Qualifications Valid Oklahoma driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate company vehicles. Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Ability to respond promptly when dispatched. Ability to lift, maneuver, and assist with transferring deceased individuals. Must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Dependable transportation to report to work. Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally difficult situations. Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record requirements. Previous funeral home, healthcare, hospice, EMS, law enforcement, military, transportation, or first-responder experience is helpful but not required . We will train the right person. Physical Requirements This position is physically demanding.

Applicants must be able to:

Lift and maneuver significant weight with assistance and proper equipment. Push and pull transfer equipment. Bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods.
