Funeral Home Removal Technician / Transfer Specialist Trevino Mortuary Services Trevino Mortuary Services is seeking a dependable, professional, and compassionate individual to join our team as a Removal Technician / Transfer Specialist . This position involves assisting with the respectful transportation and care of deceased individuals from residences, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other locations to funeral homes and designated facilities.

Schedule & On-Call Compensation Daytime Hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM The employee will also participate in a rotating nighttime on-call schedule . During assigned nighttime on-call periods, the employee must be available to respond to calls in a timely manner. Nighttime on-call work will be compensated on a per-call basis rather than at the employee's regular hourly rate. The applicable per-call rate and on-call expectations will be discussed with the employee prior to assignment. All compensation practices will be administered in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws. Responsibilities Assist with removals and transfers from private residences, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities Transport decedents to funeral homes and other designated locations Handle every decedent with dignity, respect, and professionalism Assist with loading and unloading using appropriate equipment Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with families, hospital staff, nursing facilities, funeral directors, and other professionals Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and ready for service Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately Communicate with management regarding pickups, deliveries, and assignments Participate in the company's nighttime on-call rotation Follow company procedures regarding safety, confidentiality, and the respectful care of decedents Qualifications Valid driver's license and dependable driving record Must be able to successfully pass a background check Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening Must be willing to participate in random drug testing as a condition of employment, in accordance with company policy and applicable law Reliable and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working around deceased individuals Able to remain professional and respectful in emotionally sensitive situations Physically capable of assisting with lifting, moving, and transferring decedents using proper equipment and procedures Able to respond to calls during assigned on-call periods Good communication skills Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Previous funeral home, mortuary, removal service, EMS, healthcare, or similar experience is helpful but not required.
