Brooklyn is known as the "Heart of the Irish Hills", "The Heart of the Lakes", and the Home of NASCARS' Michigan International Speedway. A beautiful place to retreat, vacation or call home. Michigan Center is a tight knit community right on the chain of 7 Lakes that stretch from Grass Lake, through Napoleon and ends in Michigan Center. Michigan Center is situated just 5-10 minute drive to Jackson. The funeral home was started by the Nichols Family in 1959. The Eineder family is the 4th family to own this business. The Eineder Family is looking for a Michigan Licensed funeral Director or someone with the ability to reciprocate their license).

Compensation & Benefits Salary/Wages:

$50,000.00

• $75,000.

00 per year (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary This position interacts directly with families during their time of need and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction with a personal touch. The ideal candidate is a team player who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about delivering outstanding service to the deceased and their families.

Key Responsibilities Family & Service Coordination:

Meet with and assist grieving families to prepare and coordinate services (visitations, funerals, burials, and cremations) with continuous care, concern, and professionalism.

Preparation & Care:

Care for the deceased, including embalming, restoring, dressing, cosmetology, casketing, and transporting.

Operations & Logistics:

Skillfully and compassionately take death call information, coordinate transportation, and contact outside vendors/service personnel to arrange facilities and merchandise in a timely manner.

Compliance & Administration:

Maintain a thorough understanding of funeral laws and customs across a wide range of religious and cultural backgrounds. Certify and proof death certificates in EDRS (training available).

Team Collaboration:

Maintain prompt and regular internal communication via text, phone, and email; support co-workers to ensure ethical, high-quality service.

Requirements & Qualifications Licensure:

State of Michigan funeral licensure (or the immediate ability to reciprocate a license from another state) is required.

Experience:

Proven ability to manage a caseload while creating an exceptional customer experience. Proficient in embalming and cosmetics.

Technical Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and open to utilizing internal technology.

Physical & Schedule Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs. Availability to be on-call, work evenings, weekends, and occasional scheduled holidays.

Additional Requirements:

Excellent driving skills with a valid driver's license. Must pass a required background check.
