This dynamic position combines the art of funeral service with the science of mortuary practices, ensuring dignified and personalized farewells. You will coordinate funeral arrangements, oversee preparation and transportation of the deceased, and provide empathetic support to grieving clients. Your expertise will help create meaningful memorial experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care. Responsibilities Coordinate and plan funeral services, ensuring all arrangements align with client wishes and company policies Prepare the deceased through embalming, cosmetic application, and dissection as needed, adhering to mortuary science principles and sanitation standards Operate company vehicles for transportation of remains and funeral equipment safely and efficiently Provide bereavement support and clear communication to families, offering guidance throughout the funeral process Manage heavy lifting and manual handling tasks during body preparation, transportation, and setup Maintain detailed records of all procedures, including embalming, cremation, and event planning activities Utilize funeral service technology to organize schedules, client information, and service details with precision Experience Prior experience in funeral directing or mortuary science is highly preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cosmetology related to deceased body preparation Familiarity with cremation processes and related regulations Strong organizational skills to manage multiple funeral arrangements simultaneously Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds Ability to operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely Understanding of sanitation protocols, dissection procedures, and mortuary science principles Join us in delivering compassionate service that honors lives with dignity.
