Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a licensed Mortician or Funeral Director to join our team and help serve families with compassion and excellence. In this role, you will guide families through every stage of the funeral planning process, providing support, understanding, and professional expertise during a difficult time. You will coordinate arrangements, lead services, and ensure that each family receives the highest standard of care. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community while continuing to grow professionally. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services, ensuring each service reflects the wishes, traditions, and values of the family. Provide compassionate guidance and personalized assistance throughout the arrangement and planning process. Prepare and care for the deceased for visitations and services, including embalming, restorative art, and cosmetic procedures when necessary. Complete and maintain all required documentation and records accurately and efficiently. Ensure funeral home operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to families' needs with professionalism and sensitivity. Foster positive relationships within the community through involvement in local organizations and outreach initiatives. Qualifications Current Funeral Director and/or Mortician license, or the ability to obtain licensure in Minnesota. Degree in Mortuary Science from an accredited program. Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. Ability to work compassionately and effectively with grieving families. Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
