This vital role involves overseeing all aspects of funeral arrangements, coordinating with families, managing funeral ceremonies, and ensuring that every detail aligns with our high standards of care and respect. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of mortuary science principles, and a passion for providing comfort during difficult times. As the leader of our funeral team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to industry regulations and safety protocols. Duties Coordinate and plan funeral services, including logistics, transportation, and ceremony arrangements to create meaningful experiences for families. Operate company vehicles for transportation of remains and funeral equipment with strict adherence to safety standards. Provide bereavement support and clear communication to grieving families, guiding them through every step of the funeral process. Plan and execute funeral events with attention to detail, including floral arrangements, music selection, and other personalized touches. Ensure all aspects of the service adhere to industry standards for cosmetics application for deceased persons and overall presentation. Maintain accurate documentation related to cremation processes, client interactions, and legal requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in funeral directing or mortuary science with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Certification or licensure in mortuary science or funeral directing as required by local regulations. Knowledge of cremation procedures, embalming techniques, and cosmetic application for deceased persons. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple funerals simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong customer service skills with compassionate client communication during sensitive situations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mortuary equipment effectively. Familiarity with funeral event planning software and technology tools used in modern funeral services. Knowledge of sanitation standards, dissection procedures, and company vehicle operation protocols. Experience in sales or client consultation is a plus to assist families in making arrangements that meet their needs.
