Barfield Health Care is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Worker to join our team at our long-term care facility. The Laundry Worker plays an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for our residents by ensuring linens, clothing, towels, and other laundry items are properly cleaned, dried, folded, and distributed. Position Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, towels, and facility laundry. Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely. Follow proper procedures for handling soiled and clean laundry. Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or missing items and address issues appropriately. Deliver clean laundry to designated resident rooms and facility areas. Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary laundry area. Follow infection-control, safety, and facility procedures. Report equipment problems, damaged items, or supply needs to management. Assist with maintaining an adequate supply of clean linens and clothing. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous laundry, housekeeping, healthcare, or long-term care experience is a plus, but not required . Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling laundry.
