Laundry Aide Part-Time Orchard Post Acute - 3.3 Fresno, CA Job Details Part-time $17.48 - $17.50 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Moving Full Job Description Laundry Aide - Part-Time Orchard Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Laundry Aide to join our environmental services team. This position helps ensure residents have clean clothing and linens while maintaining a sanitary, comfortable, and odor-free environment throughout the facility.
Compensation Pay Range:
$17.48-$17.50 per hour General Purpose The Laundry Aide performs a variety of laundry and general cleaning duties to provide quality laundry services for residents. This position ensures linens and resident clothing are properly collected, cleaned, labeled, folded, stored, and delivered in accordance with facility sanitation and safety procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens to support the care and comfort of all residents. Collect resident clothing, bedding, and facility linens daily or as needed. Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens. Label new residents' clothing and personal items as needed. Deliver clean clothing and linens to resident rooms and appropriate facility areas. Maintain linens in good condition and remove items with holes, stains, or excessive wear from service. Follow all sanitation, infection control, and laundry procedures. Properly handle contaminated or soiled linens according to facility guidelines. Maintain an accurate inventory of laundry supplies and notify the appropriate supervisor when items need to be reordered. Keep the laundry room, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces clean, safe, and organized. Operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions. Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to the Administrator or appropriate supervisor. Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned. Perform additional duties as directed by facility management. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. One year of laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare facility experience preferred. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus. Skills and Abilities Ability to read and understand instructions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures. Basic math skills. Ability to organize and prioritize assigned duties. Ability to identify problems and seek assistance when needed. Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations No certifications or licenses are required for this position. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, talk, read, and hear while performing the duties of this position. The employee must be able to: Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Push and pull laundry carts. Handle bags of clothing, bedding, and linens. Frequently use industrial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment. Work around heat, moisture, cleaning products, and soiled linens. Work Environment The employee works in a healthcare and laundry environment with a generally low to moderate noise level. The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, moisture, bodily fluids, and infectious materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment and infection control procedures must be followed.
