Indian Creek Country Club is looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing, folding, organizing, and distributing linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Essential Functions:
Sort laundry by type, color, fabric, and level of soil. Operate commercial washers, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment. Wash, dry, fold, and organize towels, linens, uniforms, and other items. Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and cleanliness. Properly use laundry detergents, chemicals, and stain-removal products. Fold and prepare clean laundry for delivery to various departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area. Monitor laundry supplies and notify management when supplies are needed. Report equipment problems, leaks, or other maintenance issues to management. Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures. Assist with maintaining proper inventory of clean linens. Assist with distributing clean laundry to the appropriate departments. Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Previous laundry, housekeeping, hotel, country club, or hospitality experience preferred. Proficiency in operating commercial laundry equipment. Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and move laundry throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Professional and courteous attitude when interacting with members, guests, and employees. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and during busy seasonal periods as needed.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry laundry bags, linens, and supplies. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Must be able to push and pull laundry carts. Must be able to work in a warm and fast-paced laundry environment. Must follow all safety procedures when handling laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
