Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to clean textiles efficiently. Handle laundry materials with proper techniques, including sorting, folding, pressing, and storing linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing. Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport heavy loads safely throughout the laundry area. Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas regularly and following safety protocols during all laundry processes. Manage laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals responsibly, ensuring correct usage according to safety guidelines. Assist with laundry services for guest rooms and public areas promptly to support excellent customer service. Follow established safety procedures during manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items or operating textile cleaning machinery to prevent injuries. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and textile care practices including dry cleaning and laundry washing. Ability to operate garment care machines safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Excellent materials handling skills with experience using push carts and performing heavy lifting safely. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or adjusting machine settings accurately. Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure all linens and textiles are hygienic for guest use. Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude when assisting staff or guests with laundry needs.
