Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance. Handle laundry materials with proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push cart usage, to transport linens and garments safely. Perform cleaning tasks across the laundry area, including sanitation of workspaces and equipment, following safety standards in production. Manage laundry services by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing textiles according to type and care instructions. Maintain inventory of laundry detergents and cleaning supplies while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling. Conduct quality checks on finished textiles to ensure garment care standards are met and textiles are properly cleaned without damage. Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents, including proper use of machinery and handling of potentially hazardous materials. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and textile cleaning processes. Experience operating laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment. Ability to handle materials safely with manual handling skills and heavy lifting capabilities. Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load sizes accurately. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe working space. Excellent customer service skills to assist with guest inquiries or special requests related to laundry services. Knowledge of sanitation practices necessary for maintaining a hygienic laundry environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions for garment care and laundry procedures efficiently.
