Job Description
The Pet Palace Resort & Spa in Granger, IN is seeking Kennel Attendants. We are a small, family-owned dog boarding, grooming and daycare facility. We split morning and afternoon shifts but weekends and holiday shifts are required as they are our busiest times . Must have a valid driver's license and reliable form of communication. Please understand upon applying that caring for dogs is not always glamorous. It is a fun but fast-paced environment with many interruptions and constantly shifting priorities. It can be messy, dangerous at times, and a great deal of hard work but we prefer to have people on our team who are committed and passionate about dogs. That said, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves dogs and wants to learn more or continue to grow in their dog handling skills. It is important for applicants to know that the dogs in our care are not your pets. They are our clients whose safety and behavior has been left to our custody. Respect of authority, a positive attitude, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. In your role as Kennel Attendant you shall assist with all aspects of operating our facility, including but not limited to, customer intake, care for animals, exercising and playing with animals, cleaning the facility, grounds and equipment and some additional responsibilities as agreed to from time to time.
