Job Description
Company Overview We are an 84-bed Skilled Nursing and Short Term Rehab facility, committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a full time employee to join our team as a Laundry Aide 7am-3pm, working every other weekend. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment including industrial washers and dryers to process linens, clothing, and resident garments Handle materials safely using proper manual handling techniques and push carts for transporting laundry items Sort, fold, and organize laundry items according to type and care instructions Maintain sanitation standards by using appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents Follow safety protocols during laundry operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards in production Assist with garment care machine operation such as dry cleaning or textile cleaning as needed Support overall cleanliness of laundry areas by adhering to sanitation procedures and safety standards Skills Experience with cleaning, laundry services, and textile care is preferred Knowledge of materials handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting techniques Ability to operate laundry washing machines, industrial dryers, and garment care equipment effectively Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and safety protocol adherence Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and residents when necessary Familiarity with hotel or healthcare laundry operations is a plus Must be able to read and understand English Must have a high school degree or GED.
