Duties and Responsibilities:

SORT THE SOILED LAUNDRY

By colorsBy similar items for washing (towels, sheets, linens, tablecloths, Spa items)Alexandra's linens are cleaned firstAll linen should be sorted by the end of the dayWear latex gloves

WASH AND DRY THE SOILED LAUNDRY

Load and unload the machines as neededEnter the code for operating the machines based upon the contents chart (type of laundry, soiled, bleach, length of time, etc.)

SORT, PRESS AND FOLD THE CLEAN LAUNDRY

Sort the laundry item by typePress banquet linens, fold sheets and towelsItems are fold differently based upon what they are

Sheets:

double, queen and king

Towels:

hand, wash cloths, bath towels and bathmatsNapkins and various tablecloth sizesLarge items are hung on the rackFold tablecloths and then plastic wrap in quantities of 50Turn the presser off at 4:15 unless told otherwise

REMOVE CLEAN DAMAGED ITEMS

Any damaged, stained, torn or moldy item is cleaned and then put into storageAny item containing blood is thrown out immediatelyRecord items that are out of service

ORDER LISTS

Read the order lists from Banquets, the Restaurants, Spa and PoolsPrepare the necessary items in an accurate and timely manner

CLEAN LAUNDRY AREA

Dust all machinesSweep under dryersSweep and mop floors

CROSS TRAIN AS A GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT CROSS TRAIN AS PUBLIC SPACE ATTENDANT ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS NECESSARY

Physical Demands:

Lift Up to 15 Lbs.
