Lansing, MI SpringHill Suites by Marriott Lansing West is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. Our Laundry Attendants play an important role in keeping the hotel operating efficiently by ensuring that clean linens and towels are consistently available for our guestrooms and hotel operations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, manages their time effectively, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate understands the importance of completing assigned responsibilities, communicating with coworkers and management, and maintaining consistent productivity throughout their shift. Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items. Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a steady and productive workflow throughout the shift to ensure laundry is processed in a timely manner. Monitor laundry equipment and promptly report any mechanical problems or maintenance concerns. Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, or excessive wear, and remove unsuitable items from circulation. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens and towels for Housekeeping and hotel operations. Keep the laundry room, equipment, shelving, and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Properly handle, store, and use laundy chemicals according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Communicate assigned laundry responsibilities abefore the end of shift whenever reasonably possible. Assist with other Housekeeping responsibilities as needed based on hotel business demands. Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and Marriott brand standards. What We Are Looking For Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and remain productive without constant supervision. Strong time-management and organizational skills Ability to maintain a consistent work pace while performing repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to communicate with management and co-workers regarding workload and operational needs. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including prolonged standing, bending, lifting and moving laundry carts. Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Schedule This is a part-time position . Hours will vary based on hotel occupancy, laundry volume, and operational needs. Applicants should have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed . Hotel operations run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so dependable attendance is essential.
