Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Evening Laundry Attendant to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and proper handling of linens, garments, and textiles. Your energetic approach will help maintain high sanitation standards while providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the comfort and well-being of our residents through efficient laundry operations. You will also support our dietary team by assisting with cleanup of the dining area after dinner. Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with attention to safety protocols Handle laundry materials carefully using proper manual handling techniques and push carts for transport Sort, fold, and organize linens and clothing efficiently while adhering to sanitation standards Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely according to manufacturer instructions and safety standards in production Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by following sanitation procedures and safety standards Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to bulk linen or textile handling while practicing safe manual handling practices Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely delivery of clean linens and responding professionally to staff requests Qualifications Prior experience in laundry services or textile cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided Knowledge of laundry detergents, sanitation procedures, and garment care machines is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with manual dexterity Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory levels Strong adherence to safety standards in production environments and safety protocol compliance Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation standards Reliable team player with a positive attitude eager to contribute to a supportive work environment Join us in delivering essential services that enhance the quality of life for our residents!
