Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure proper cleaning of textiles. Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, pressing, and packaging finished items. Use push carts and other tools to transport heavy loads safely within the laundry area. Follow strict safety protocols during manual handling and materials handling to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the laundry area, including proper disposal of laundry detergents and chemicals. Assist with textile cleaning processes, including stain removal and garment inspection for quality assurance. Adhere to safety standards in production environments, ensuring all equipment is operated correctly and safely at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, laundry services, and textile care methods. Ability to operate garment care machinery such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning machines efficiently. Proficiency in handling laundry detergents safely while maintaining sanitation standards. Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with push carts and bulky loads. Good understanding of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents or injuries. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals or calculating load sizes accurately. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests or clients regarding their laundry needs.
