Job Description

A Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Typical Duties Include:
  • Maintain a constant supply of clean linens
  • Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area
  • Maintain stock levels
  • Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Perform additional laundry services, as needed
  • May be required to assist in housekeeping functions, as need
  • May be required to perform other functions assigned by manager, as needed. Job Requirements
  • Must be able to stand in work station for up to 7 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts up to 250 pounds often throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions in the spoken language of the work area.
  • Must be able to travel to various areas of the hotel to pick/deliver linen items in allotted time provided.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays.
  • May be required to wear a lumbar support belt to prevent lifting injuries.
