PPE/Laundry Supervisor / Purchasing Manager Job Summary The Laundry Technician is responsible for maintaining an efficient laundry operation while supporting inventory control and supply distribution within the warehouse laundry department. This role ensures clean, properly sorted linens/uniforms and accurate handling of supplies to support daily operations. The position requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Laundry Technician Duties Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, uniforms, or other assigned items Inspect laundry items for damage or excessive wear and report issues as needed Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of laundry equipment Follow proper laundering procedures, including chemical handling and safety standards Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and stocked Track laundry quantities and usage as assigned Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory and supplies Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts Issue supplies to departments according to requests or schedules Organize warehouse storage areas for efficiency and safety Prepare and stage supplies for internal distribution Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks) as required Follow company policies for inventory control and loss prevention All other duties as assigned Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual labor Basic math and counting skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to read, write and comprehend the English Language Preferred Previous experience in laundry, warehouse, or inventory roles Familiarity with basic inventory systems or handheld scanners Forklift or pallet jack experience (training may be provided) Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy bags and carts " lift heavy bags (500 to 600 bags per shift)" Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals in laundry areas Skills & Competencies Attention to detail Time management and organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety and cleanliness Positive and professional attitude EOE/VETS/DISABILITY
