What You'll Do Provides patient‑centered service, maintaining a friendly, safe environment and responding promptly to customer concerns while modeling Service Excellence. Uses computer systems, handheld devices, or manual forms to track linen as directed. Stocks, distributes, and inventories clean linens and apparel in compliance with infection‑control guidelines. Identifies linen items needing repair or replacement and reports issues to management. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and equipment, including refilling and preparing linen carts and scrub machines. Collects soiled linen for vendor pick‑up and verifies cleanliness and serviceability of laundered items before storage. Maintains required logs, records, and linen control procedures, ensuring accurate counts and proper distribution to departments. Adheres to UH attendance, compliance, and regulatory standards, performing additional related duties as assigned. What You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position; prior experience in institutional environmental services or linen services is preferred.
