Job Description
About Us Wash Haven is Roxbury's premier laundromat and laundry service provider. We're a family owned business dedicated to making laundry day the easy way. Clean, friendly, and stress free. The Role Weekends are our busiest time, and we're adding a second attendant to the floor so we can take better care of the people who walk in. This is a customer first role. You'll be the person our weekend customers actually talk to, the one who notices when someone looks lost at a machine and walks over before they have to ask. You'll also learn the full attendant job alongside our team, so there's real skill here, not just a smile at the door. We're looking for someone who genuinely likes talking to people. If that's you, the laundry part we can teach. What You'll Do Greet customers, hold the door, and make people feel welcome Show new customers how to use our laundry cards, washers, and dryers Answer questions, sort out small problems, and get people moving quickly Help lift heavy bags, hand out wipes, and keep an eye on spills Tell customers about our wash and fold and our pickup and delivery service Invite happy customers to leave us a Google review. We'll give you a lanyard card that takes them straight there Learn and help with attendant work, including washing, drying, folding, and keeping the floor clean What We're Looking For Outgoing and comfortable starting a conversation with a stranger Strong spoken English. Bilingual Spanish and English is a real plus Reliable and punctual. It's a two day schedule, so every shift counts Able to stay on your feet and lift laundry bags No laundry experience needed. We'll train you on everything Hours and Pay Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 3pm or 10am to 4pm About 12 hours per weekend $17.00 per hour Weekday hours may become available as we grow Growing With Us We hire part time and we promote from within. One of our current team members started on weekends and is still with us today. If you're reliable and good with customers, there's room here for more hours and more responsibility.
