Responsibilities This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty. Keep accurate counts of delivered and received linen counts from all receiving departments. Weigh & count all received linen. Count & process reclaimed items. Must be willing to work any shift. Maintains daily worksheets. Handle cleaning products in a safe manner. Assist vendors who, as part of their service, perform inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations. Maintain production levels according to level of room occupancy. Perform routine maintenance on the laundry equipment; includes cleaning dryer traps and greasing flat ironer. Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron and store linens according to established procedures. Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. Responsible for the washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing of linens for the laundry. Requirements No formal education required. One year experience as a washer/folder/sorter is helpful. Knowledge of operating laundry equipment a plus.
