Job Description

Assist the full-time equipment management staff in providing equipment services for Bowling Green State University athletic programs. Support daily equipment room operations, equipment distribution and maintenance, inventory control, and game day requirements while contributing to a professional and student-athlete focused environment.

Assist with the issuance, collection, fitting, and organization of athletic equipment, apparel, and accessories. Perform laundry services for assigned athletic programs, including washing, drying, folding, and distribution. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of equipment rooms, storage areas, and laundry facilities. Support inventory management by tracking equipment and apparel, conducting counts, and reporting shortages or damages. Prepare equipment and supplies for practices, competitions, travel, and special events. Assist with receiving, unpacking, labeling, and storing new equipment and apparel shipments. Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns and report issues to full-time staff. Transport equipment and supplies within athletic facilities as needed. Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for practices, competitions, and special events. Follow departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. Provide professional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Perform other duties as assigned in support of athletics equipment operations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality when appropriate. Dependable with a demonstrated commitment to punctuality and reliability. Ability to lift, carry, move, and organize equipment weighing up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and athletic event schedules. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
