Duties Operate industrial laundry machines to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently and safely. Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling. Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or special items as needed, following established procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces to meet health and safety standards. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and stain removers, and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Assist with the collection of soiled linens from guest rooms and public areas promptly and courteously. Ensure all laundry items are pressed or folded neatly before returning them to storage or guest rooms, contributing to the overall presentation of the hotel. Skills Proven experience with laundry operations in a hotel or similar hospitality environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and stain removal. Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail to ensure linens are spotless, well-presented, and correctly sorted. Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks with precision. Basic understanding of cleaning protocols and safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use.
