Laundry Attendant Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Airport North 24901 Country Club Boulevard, North Olmsted, OH 44070 The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing, maintaining, and organizing hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items to ensure the housekeeping department has a clean and adequate supply throughout the day. The position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and guest experience standards of the hotel. The hotel has on-site laundry facilities and provides housekeeping services to guests. Key Responsibilities Sort, load, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items. Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Follow proper procedures for measuring and using laundry detergents, chemicals, and cleaning products. Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, tears, or excessive wear. Separate items requiring rewash, stain treatment, repair, or removal from service. Ensure clean linens meet hotel quality and cleanliness standards before being returned to service. Fold and organize clean linen according to department standards. Maintain adequate supplies of clean towels and linens for housekeeping operations. Deliver clean linens to housekeeping closets and designated areas as needed. Collect and transport soiled linens from guest floors and other designated areas. Keep the laundry room, equipment, storage areas, and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Clean lint traps, machines, carts, and work surfaces regularly. Report malfunctioning equipment, leaks, safety concerns, or other maintenance issues to the supervisor or maintenance department. Monitor laundry inventory and report shortages or discrepancies. Maintain accurate laundry counts and production records as required. Assist the Housekeeping department with other tasks when needed. Respond to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner when interacting with guests. Follow all hotel safety, security, chemical-handling, and OSHA-related procedures. Protect hotel property and maintain confidentiality regarding guest and hotel information. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management. Qualifications Previous hotel laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Ability to operate or learn to operate commercial laundry equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and organized. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Basic communication skills and a professional attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift. Ability to regularly lift and move laundry bags, linen carts, and supplies. Ability to work around heat, humidity, noise, and moving laundry equipment. Ability to safely lift and move items generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
