Laundry Hot Job Heritage at Brandon Place - Oklahoma City, OK 73142 Apply Apply Description The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing clean and sanitary linens, clothing, and other laundry items for residents and the facility. This position ensures proper handling, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of laundry while maintaining infection control standards and safety procedures in a nursing environment. Key Responsibilities Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas. Sort laundry according to type, color, and washing requirements. Operate commercial washers and dryers according to facility procedures. Fold, stack, and distribute clean laundry to resident rooms and facility departments. Ensure proper labeling and return of resident personal clothing. Follow infection control procedures when handling contaminated laundry. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area. Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors. Maintain adequate supply of linens for resident care areas. Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of laundry chemicals. Assist with special laundry needs or requests as directed by supervisor. Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality experience is a plus). Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment. Knowledge of basic infection control and sanitation practices. Skills and Abilities Attention to detail Ability to work independently and efficiently Good organizational skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
