Why this job matters The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. What you bring to the table Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee. Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and brand goals. Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering. Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area. Maintain stock levels. Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Perform additional laundry services, as needed. Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned) Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points High school degree or GED preferred. Six (6) months hotel laundry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests. Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies. Physical stuff to know We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to sit occasionally, stand for extended periods, walk frequently, kneel and bend frequently, and lift 50 pounds. Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows and hands as well as climb, ascend and descend ladders, stairs and ramps.
