Job Description

The Parts Courier / Clerk is responsible for the procurement, receiving, stocking, distribution, and tracking of repair parts and materials to support maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This position supports maintenance technicians by ensuring timely and accurate delivery and issuance of parts, maintaining organized inventory, and recording all inventory activity within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

In addition, this role provides facility-wide logistical support including vendor pickups, cafeteria supply transport, and mail handling to support efficient day-to-day operations. Pick up repair parts and materials from vendors.

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts against purchase orders.

Stock inventory in designated parts room locations.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts room.

Complete routine inventory cycle counts and reconciles discrepancies.

Enter received parts into the CMMS.

Organize, maintain, and issue tools to mechanics from the tool crib.

Check parts out to maintenance technicians and ensure proper documentation.

Verify work orders or requests before issuing parts.

Issue parts to work orders using the CMMS for accurate cost tracking.

Track and reconcile unused or returned parts.

Stage parts and kits for scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance work.

Accurately record inventory transactions including receipts, issues, and adjustments in CMMS.

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, locations, and quantities.

Generate pick lists, work order materials lists, and inventory reports as needed.

Deliver parts, tools, and materials to maintenance personnel and designated areas.

Pick up food and supplies from vendors for cafeteria operations and deliver to designated locations.

Pick up mail from the post office and deliver it to the mail room.

Ensure accountability and security of all transported items.

Operate company vehicles including pickup trucks and cargo vans.

Follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

Operate Forklift when needed. Perform other job duties as assigned. High School diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent work-related experience is preferred. Some previous work-related experience preferred, but not required.

Able to work flexible hours including weekends at different times of the year

Able to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis, up to 50 lbs occasionally

Able to stand, walk, twist, bend and reach for extended periods throughout the day Have no sensitivity to smells such as: gasoline, diesel, spray paint, dust, orchard chemicals, battery acid, etc.

Must be able to withstand loud noises, (ear plug provided as requested)

Must have a valid Oregon driver's license and good driving record.

This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
