As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling, washing, and sanitation of linens, garments, and other textiles, contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment for our residents. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment such as industrial washers and dryers to clean textiles efficiently and effectively. Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens and garments according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all laundry areas, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while following safety standards in production to prevent contamination or damage. Assist with the transportation of laundry using push carts or other materials handling tools, ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely. Monitor laundry cycles for quality control, ensuring garments are properly cleaned without damage. Follow safety protocol adherence during manual handling tasks and operation of garment care machines. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services and ensuring timely delivery of clean textiles. Experience Prior experience in laundry services or textile cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Basic math skills are necessary for measuring detergents and calculating loads accurately. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments related to sanitation and materials handling is advantageous. Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial dryers and washing units efficiently. Knowledge of textile cleaning techniques and garment care best practices is beneficial. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of heavy lifting safety procedures are essential.
