Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Weekend Laundry Person to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and freshness of linens, garments, and textiles through efficient laundry services. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that all items are handled with care, sanitized properly, and prepared to meet the highest standards of quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional service. Duties Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers to process textiles efficiently Handle materials carefully using proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage Sort, fold, and organize laundry items according to type and destination Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, equipment, and supplies regularly Use push carts and other tools to transport heavy loads safely around the facility Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of laundry detergents and chemicals Assist with garment care machine operation to ensure textiles are cleaned thoroughly and gently Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile handling is preferred but not required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout shifts Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or other supplies accurately Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and garment care Good customer service skills if interacting with staff or clients regarding laundry needs Ability to work weekends consistently and maintain a positive, proactive attitude Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment!
