Job Description

Laundry Pickup

+ Processing Team Member Lotta's Laundry Bainbridge Island, WA Job Details Part-time $24.40 - $29.38 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Paid sick time Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Mobile devices Full Job Description Part-Time W-2 | Flexible Schedule | Approx. $25-$35/Hour Based on Production

+ Driving Looking for part-time work that pays well without spending your entire shift in one place? Lotta's Laundry is growing, and we're looking for someone reliable, organized and detail-oriented to join our pickup + laundry processing team. This is a little different from a traditional hourly job. You'll be paid $1.00 per processed pound for laundry + $20/hour for compensable driving time , with additional flat-rate pay for specialty items. Because laundry processing is production-based, your effective hourly earnings can increase depending on the order and efficiency. Team members may earn approximately $25-$35/hour for working time. You'll have assigned pickup and delivery days, but much of the actual laundry processing happens independently from an approved home laundry setup—giving you more control over when and how you get your work done between deadlines. And unlike gig work, this is a W-2 position. This could be a great fit if you: Want flexible, part-time work that actually pays well Like working independently without someone hovering over you Are extremely reliable and consistent Are organized and good at managing your own time Notice the little things Like staying busy and working with your hands Get satisfaction from doing something efficiently and doing it right Want work that can fit around the rest of your life Laundry experience isn't required. We'll teach you our system. What matters much more to us is that you're dependable, coachable and someone we can trust to take care of our customers' belongings. What you'll actually do: You'll manage customer orders from pickup through return. That includes picking up laundry on an assigned route, safely transporting it, sorting, washing, drying, folding and packaging it according to Lotta's standards, and delivering it back to the customer. You'll follow special-care and hang-dry instructions, keep customer orders completely separate, document completed orders and communicate with us anytime something doesn't look right. We provide the laundry supplies, training, systems and support you need to do the job.

How pay works:

This position combines production pay + hourly driving pay: Laundry processing: Starting at $1.00 per processed pound (ability to advance)

Driving:

$20/hour for compensable driving time Specialty items: Additional flat production rates for items such as comforters, blankets, rugs, sleeping bags and coats. For an efficient team member with available order volume, this structure can result in an effective earning rate of approximately $25-$35/hour for working time. Actual earnings will vary based on processing speed, order mix, available volume and driving time. As you become fully trained and demonstrate consistent quality, reliability and efficiency, there is room to increase your production rate. As a W-2 employee, you'll record all working time, and compensation will be administered in accordance with applicable minimum-wage, overtime, paid-rest and other wage-and-hour requirements. What you'll need You'll need a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and required auto insurance, a smartphone you're comfortable using for work apps, and reliable access to appropriate laundry equipment. You'll also need an approved clean, safe home laundry-processing space where customer laundry can remain completely separate from personal household laundry. You should be comfortable lifting and carrying full laundry bags and performing repetitive physical work. Schedule This is a part-time position , and weekly volume may vary. You'll have assigned pickup + delivery days and manage processing between pickup and return. There's flexibility in how you structure much of your processing time. What isn't flexible is taking care of our customers—pickup windows, turnaround times and deadlines matter. The biggest thing we care about We need people who care. Customers are trusting us with the things they live their lives in—their clothes, their kids' clothes, their favorite sweatshirt, their sheets. We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We do expect you to pay attention. If something looks wrong, stop and ask. If you make a mistake, tell us. If an item says hang dry, catch it before it reaches the dryer. If you're reliable, like working independently, and get a weird amount of satisfaction from getting things done efficiently and right , we'd like to meet you.

Job type:
