Martha Franks Retirement Community is owned and managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance. Under Oakdale Seniors Alliance leadership, we foster a clean, safe, and supportive environment that values every member of our staff and prioritizes the comfort and dignity of our residents. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Laundry Aide (PT) to join our team every weekend . In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing community linens as well as residents' personal clothing. Your hard work directly impacts our residents' daily comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Sorting & Washing:
Collect, sort, and process dirty linens, towels, bedding, and personal resident clothing using commercial laundry equipment following established sanitation procedures.
Drying & Folding:
Dry, fold, stack, and hang clean linens and clothing items carefully to avoid wrinkling.
Distribution:
Deliver clean linens to nursing units/closets and return personal laundry directly to resident rooms in a neat and timely manner.
Infection Control & Safety:
Handle soiled and clean textiles separately to prevent cross-contamination, following infection control guidelines and safety standards.
Equipment & Area Care:
Clean lint traps, wipe down washers and dryers, and keep the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus, but not required (on-the-job training provided!).
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail (to ensure personal clothing items return to the correct resident), ability to lift/push laundry carts, and physical stamina for bending and standing.
Reliability:
Dependable attendance and punctuality for assigned weekend shifts.
