This position is essential in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for our residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens. Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Follow established procedures for handling soiled and contaminated linens. Label and organize resident clothing to ensure proper delivery. Inspect laundry items for damage and report concerns to the supervisor. Maintain laundry rooms, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing. Adhere to infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines. Assist with inventory and storage of linens and laundry supplies. Provide courteous service to residents and staff. Assist with housekeeping duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor/Housekeeping Supervisor, or Administrator. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a professional attitude. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, pushing carts, and reaching throughout the shift.
