Job Description

Responsibilities Receives, sorts, tracks, and delivers laundry within the hospital, following prescribed standards, and under some supervision. Perform all tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, facility staff and customers. Inspect and sort linen as it is received from laundry; record and return rejects to laundry. Remove clean linen from laundry carts and place in designated areas. Load carts for delivery. Advise supervisor of any damaged or missing linen from laundry. Deliver linens to all user locations. Take count of linen not used from previous delivery. Make certain that while delivering through the hospital, the clean linen is covered. Replenish linen according to established level and/or utilization. Maintain log for linen closets, documenting unused linen, and report any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage. Maintain linen room in a clean and orderly condition. Perform all other related and miscellaneous duties as required.
