Duties Operate laundry equipment including garment care machines, industrial dryers, and laundry washers to clean textiles efficiently. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, loading, and unloading of linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles. Follow safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment. Use laundry detergents and sanitation products correctly to ensure textiles are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Manage push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry items safely across the facility. Perform routine inspections of textiles for stains or damage; execute dry cleaning or special treatments as needed. Maintain cleanliness of work areas in accordance with sanitation standards in production environments. Document laundry processes accurately, including wash cycles, loads completed, and materials used. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production areas to ensure compliance with health regulations and prevent accidents. Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing laundry requests from staff or guests when applicable. Skills Experience operating laundry machines such as garment care machines and industrial dryers. Ability to handle materials safely with manual handling techniques suited for heavy lifting tasks. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to follow proper safety protocol adherence. Excellent sanitation practices to ensure all textiles are hygienic and properly sanitized. Good customer service skills when interacting with staff or guests regarding laundry services. Familiarity with laundry detergents, stain removal methods, and dry cleaning processes.
