Job Description

Shift:
Evenings 5PM to 11PM We pride ourselves on high customer satisfaction and that starts with the Laundry Attendant. While this is not a complete list, here are duties of a laundry attendant: Sweep and organize facility regularly throughout shift Mop facility at close of business and as required during shift Take out trash as needed during shifts and close of day Wipe glass surfaces with Windex during shift Clean and disinfect bathrooms Clean dryer's lint traps Wipe all exposed faces on machines. Clean soap dispensers located on the tops or fronts of washers of residue during shift. Collect abandoned clothes in trash bag, label with date and initials, and move into storage area. Sweep and Remove trash from exterior of location Educate customers on the operations of the equipment Provide refunds to customers as need. When providing refund, educate customers or troubleshoot equipment. Place out of service signs when issue cannot be resolved. Write issue on back of sign with date. Ensure facility is safe. Clean all spills. Immediately report to manager any major issues (ie. uncontrolled water, changer not working) Maintain "bank" for refunds to customers. Keep log of refunds to customers with description of reason. Ie. Water temperature setting, vending setting. At the beginning of the shift, check bank and supplies. When bank is at or below $20.00, notify manager on duty. Wash and dry towels. Do not leave basket full for the next shift. Take concentrated chemicals and dilute into proper containers. Laundry Attendants should be visible to customers. Qualifications Ability to verbally communicate and work with other members of the team Physically able to stand, bend, lift and move frequently throughout the day Physically able to push, pull or move carts Ability to focus attention on details Motor coordination and manual dexterity are necessary Physical and Mental Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Laundry Attendant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Laundry Attendant is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The Laundry Attendant must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
