A Laundry Worker washes, dries, and folds clothes for customers at a laundromat. Works in a commercial laundry or for a company that provides laundry services for businesses, including hospitals, hotels and other businesses that use large quantities of linens.

We provide residents with opportunities to learn, experience, and achieve a whole new life. We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This position must provide a supply of clean, disinfected linens for residents at the Villa Nursing Home at all times. This position is responsible for delivering residents' clean clothing to their rooms. This position will also fold and distribute clean bedding, table cloths, bibs and bed pads to appropriate areas. The laundry Attendant may be required to perform tasks, which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood or other bodily fluid contamination. Employees must be knowledgeable about OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards and must follow the required procedure for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood.

Qualifications and Skills:
High School diploma or GED Valid Texas Drivers license Over the age of 21 Good knowledge of laundry methods, equipment, and operations Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Physical Demands Position involves exposure to heat, humidity, and noise; exposure to heavily soiled or contaminated laundry; Must be able to move loads weighing up to 100 pounds in carts; lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds; stand for frequent hours at a time with occasional bending, squatting and kneeling; Must be able to meet the physical requirements as needed to perform all of the duties listed under Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this job description.
