This is a Full Time day position (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) with an alternating weekend rotation. Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent manual handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. As a Laundry Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient processing of linens and garments while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards essential for a healthcare environment. Responsibilities Operate garment care machines, including industrial washers and dryers, to clean textiles effectively. Handle laundry materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage of linens and garments. Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry items safely throughout the facility. Follow strict safety standards in production areas, including proper handling of laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas and equipment to prevent contamination. Support inventory management by monitoring supplies of laundry detergents and other cleaning materials. Qualifications Previous experience in cleaning, laundry services, or materials handling is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper manual handling techniques. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and managing inventory levels accurately. Ability to operate garment care machines safely. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and garment care quality. Good physical stamina for lifting and prolonged standing during shifts. Commitment to following safety protocols consistently to ensure a safe working environment.
