Job Description
Shift is 8:00AM-4:30PM (shift may change depending on needs of the business) The main function of the Hotel Laundry worker is to prepare Hotel/Lodge and Restaurant/Banquet, along with other area linens for use by properly sorting, laundering, drying, ironing, and/or folding and storing it. - Separate various types of linens and otherwise prepare them for laundering in a large volume commercial washing machine.
- Lifting large, but easily managed bundles, place moist linens into a large commercial dryer.
- Feed linen through ironer and receive it as it comes out of the other end or hand-fold other linens/terries that are dried.
- Correct maintenance and use of equipment such as start or stop, changing programs, clearing machine errors and jams, and cleaning includes operator maintenance Here's what's needed for the job:
- Must be able to stand and/or walk at least 95% of the day.
- Daily physical activities are repetitive bending, reaching, lifting up to 40 lbs. and carrying, moving objects/materials, and cleanup of various soils, infectious materials, or body fluids.
- Must be able to work in a slightly heated environment.
