Job Description
We are currently looking for a part-time team member to join the Pet Craze crew! We need someone primarily for weekends and holidays. Saturdays/Sundays on an average week, plus holidays, and weekday hours over holiday breaks. What we're looking for: Must be comfortable, confident, and physically capable of handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Must be physically able to lift at least 50 lbs comfortably and spend the majority of the shift standing, walking, bending, and moving Must be available to work weekends and holidays! Caring for dogs is a 365-day-a-year job! Must be dependable and punctual, with reliable transportation to and from work Must have good customer service and communication skills Must work well as part of a team while also being able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Must be comfortable with the less glamorous parts of working with dogs! This includes cleaning up potty accidents, cleaning and disinfecting kennels and playrooms, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing mop buckets, taking out trash, and other routine cleaning duties Must have strong attention to detail and be able to carefully follow instructions, especially when preparing individual meals and administering medications Must be able to follow established dog-handling and safety procedures and recognize when a situation needs assistance from another team member Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and sometimes loud environment Must be 18 years old or older Typical shifts:6:00 AM-2:00 PM or 12:00 PM-7:30 PM Previous professional experience working with dogs is a bonus, but not required for the right person. A willingness to learn, reliability, good judgment, and a genuine interest in caring for dogs are just as important. We are currently hiring for part-time, approximately 10-20 hours or 2-3 shifts per week, primarily weekends, with the potential for additional hours in the future and over holidays when we're the busiest.
