Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all laundry is handled efficiently and meets our high standards of quality. Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and garments according to established procedures. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items as needed. Inspect items for stains or damage and take appropriate action to address any issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management. Follow safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery. Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests for specific laundry needs from guests or staff. Requirements Previous experience in laundry operations or cleaning services preferred; hotel experience is a plus. Knowledge of dry cleaning processes is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good physical stamina; must be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
