? We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our team at our extremely busy hotel! The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and help ensure our housekeeping team has clean linens and towels available throughout the day.Job Expectations Include:
Washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel linens and towels Sorting laundry properly and treating stained items as needed Keeping up with high laundry volume during busy and sold-out days Maintaining a clean and organized laundry room Cleaning lint traps and keeping laundry equipment/work areas clean Stocking and organizing clean linens for housekeeping Communicating with housekeeping supervisors when supplies are running low Following hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures Being able to stand for extended periods and lift laundry bags, linens, and supplies Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team Being dependable, punctual, and ready to work each scheduled shift We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, has a positive attitude, and understands the importance of teamwork. Hotel laundry can be physically demanding and very fast-paced, especially at a busy property, so dependability and a strong work ethic are extremely important. include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Collects or receives, and segregates, counts, and records number of items of hotel soiled linen and uniforms for repair or laundry, and places items in containers. Washes, dries, and folds hotel linens. Uses all chemicals and tools according to the instruction provided to prevent injury, accident, unnecessary damage or waste. Examines hotel laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability. Stamps items with identifying marks. Stores laundered items on shelves, after verifying numbers and types of items. Counts and assembles laundered items on cart or linen truck, records amounts of linens and uniforms to fill requisitions, and transports carts to floors. Conducts inventories to identify items for replacement. Keeps linen room in clean and orderly condition. May be required to clean guestrooms, bathrooms, public areas as specified by standards to include but not limited to: changing and making beds, cleaning, dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies and vacuuming. Ensures the security of guests by following key control policies. Greets guests in a warm, friendly manner to ensure guest satisfaction.KHC POLICIES
Responsible for following all KHC policies and procedures as set forth in the KHC handbook and property specific guidelines/standards.
