South Loop, Chicago Intro:

Lumi's founding brow and lash artist, an Illinois licensed specialist who excels at brow lamination, tinting, henna, lash lifts, and luxury lash extensions (classic, hybrid, volume).

The Role:

You'll perform all brow and lash services at Lumi, from custom brow shaping and lamination to luxury lash extensions, and help shape the brow / lash menu, retail line, and aftercare protocols.

What You'll Do:

Perform brow lamination, brow tinting, and henna brow services with custom mapping for each face Execute precision brow shaping (waxing, tweezing, threading) based on facial architecture and natural growth Deliver lash lifts and lash tints with appropriate rod sizing and processing for healthy, natural looking results Apply luxury lash extensions, classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume sets, with proper isolation, retention, and styling Perform extension fills (2 week, 3 week) and removals, preserve natural lash health throughout Conduct thorough consultations: brow goals, lash style, lifestyle, contraindications, and aftercare expectations Build custom brow and lash maps tailored to face shape, eye shape, and existing growth patterns Help shape Lumi's brow and lash menu, pricing, retail aftercare line, and add on structure Manage adhesive temperature and humidity for optimal extension retention Maintain meticulous sanitation: sterile tweezers, single use mascara wands, disposable adhesive rings, IDPH compliant station Manage station inventory: extensions, adhesives, lift / tint kits, henna, and brow supplies, flag reorders to the Operations Manager Build and retain a loyal client base through exceptional retention, attentive aftercare, and rebooking Collaborate with the Front Desk Concierge on content (with your consent) Coordinate with the aesthetician on combined service roadmaps (lash lift + facial, brow lamination + peel, etc.)

What We're Looking For:

Active Illinois esthetician or cosmetology license (required) Lash extension certification (classic + volume / hybrid required) 2+ years of professional brow / lash experience preferred Portfolio of work, sets, retention examples, brow before / afters Brow lamination and henna brow experience Strong understanding of facial architecture, brow mapping, eye shape, and lash styling Strict sanitation and adhesive handling protocols, single use, sterile tool discipline Knowledge of contraindications and patch test protocols for tints, henna, and lift / lamination chemistry Steady hands, patience for detailed work, and the visual eye to enhance without overworking Warm, professional chairside manner, especially with first time lamination or extension clients Comfortable in a boutique founding team setting Bonus (Nice to Have): Existing client following in the Chicago area Advanced certifications: mega volume, wet look sets, lash artistry / styling courses Brow tattoo, microshading, or PMU experience (or interest in cross training) Threading proficiency Active social media presence or comfort being featured in educational brow / lash content Bilingual (English / Spanish) Familiarity with Boulevard or similar booking software
