Crystal Tseng Portraits is curating a select roster of exceptional Hair and Makeup Artists for upcoming editorial and fine-art portrait sessions. We are seeking refined creative partners to collaborate on high-end visual concepts within our Ellicott City studio. About the Studio Crystal Tseng Portraits is a luxury boutique photography studio specializing in refined, museum-quality portraiture. Our work is defined by a polished, minimalist aesthetic and a deeply personalized client experience. Every detail—from styling to final artwork—is executed with intention, precision, and care. The Collaboration As a roster artist, you will collaborate directly with the Lead Photographer to execute elevated visual concepts. This role is best suited for artists who not only demonstrate technical mastery, but who also understand the discretion, presence, and consistency required in a high-end service environment.

Responsibilities Editorial Artistry:

Create immaculate, skin-refined makeup and sophisticated, sleek hairstyling aligned with a polished, minimalist aesthetic.

On-Set Continuity:

Remain on-site during the session to monitor and adjust styling, ensuring every frame meets our studio's high visual standards.

Professional Standards:

Maintain a curated kit of professional-grade products and uphold strict hygiene and safety practices.

Consultative Approach:

Provide informed guidance on client preparation to ensure optimal results on the day of the shoot.

Requirements Proven Portfolio:

Demonstrated experience in editorial, fashion, or fine-art portraiture.

Inclusivity:

Excellence in working across a diverse range of skin tones and hair textures.

Professionalism:

Exceptional interpersonal skills and a calm, positive, and adaptable presence on set.

Availability:

Flexibility for weekend sessions is highly preferred.

Engagement Details Project Structure:

This is a per-case freelance partnership (typically 4 hours).

Location:

Ellicott City studio (no travel required)
